Hi my name is Paul and the founder of pal's chocolates.

I've been a chef for 20+ years working in various establishments over the years starting at the bottom and working my way up the ranks and gaining experience and new skills.

My journey began as a self taught cake baker and decorator making a variety of different cakes over the years from simple celebration cakes, birthdays, Christening, themed cakes and a number of wedding cakes.

As a lover of everything sweet I came across an online chocolate-making class and decided to try it out.

It was a very basic course and gave me some understanding on how to start to make chocolates. So I decided buy some chocolate supplies and moulds and start my new journey to become a chocolatier.  

After experimenting a number of times I gained more knowledge and new skills and kept on pushing myself to keep trying new ideas.
I started making chocolates for my friend, family and work colleagues with great feedback.

I attended a chocolate academy course with Callebaut chocolate to gain more experience, knowledge and understanding of chocolate and to learn the process and science behind it.

I learned a great deal of information, new skills and knowledge to pursue a career to be a chocolatier and start my own home based chocolate business.
